We are seeking a creative, innovative, and tech-savvy individual who will work as part of the Emerson Corporate Program Management Office to provide Project Management for IT infrastructure and applications projects. This position is intended to provide support under the guidance and direction of the Portfolio Execution Manager with a focus on the direct support of the Business.
The ideal candidate will have experience with IT applications solutions projects, including operating system upgrades and migrations to public Cloud.
Technical Project Management Responsibilities:
- Developing detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports
- Conducting risk analysis and supervising the progress of plans against project milestones and budgets
- Providing technical and analytical guidance to the project team
- Ensuring adherence to quality standards and review of project results
- Analyzing and documenting requirements by collaborating closely with a range of users in the organization, including both infrastructure and applications teams
Position Essentials:
- Facilitate the implementation of critically important systems worldwide to meet business requirements
- Run business group programs
- Develop and Manage Program Scope and Schedule
- Prepare detailed project execution plan
- Establish and staff a project team consisting of representatives from the required functional areas
- Establish and maintain processes to meet the project plan and client expectations over the program lifecycle
- Gain approval for all changes to project schedule and outcomes
- Set project quality and performance standards and perform functional level quality assurance
- Resolve conflicts among schedules
- Develop and Implement Project Communication Plan
- Accountable for optimally communicating project status to stakeholders
- Assure accurate communication among functional groups
- Establish meeting forums to reliably communicate measures and status
- Provide consistent and comprehensive status reports and project updates
Required Education, Experience, & Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required
- Prior Project Management experience is required
- Excellent English language oral and written skills are required
- PMI, Prince2, or Agile (SAFe) certifications are preferred, but not required
- Minimum 5+ years of IT or Business-related experience
- Minimum 5+ years working as a project manager or in a related capacity
- Excellent Communication and Teamwork skills
- Experience in working with multiple teams in a global environment is essential
- Experience as it relates to IT Applications, Cloud Connectivity, IT Infrastructure, or Oracle projects
- Strong facilitation skills
