MISSION
The Language Academy Manager (LAM) in ROMANIA is responsible for all aspects regarding practically coordinating and facilitating language development and communication/soft skills programs for all roles in Romania and the EE region. In addition, this role ensures that activities for individual development of front line and mid-level management are being coordinated and facilitated in the country. Moreover, the LAM Romania is flexible & innovative, creating and developing new language concepts to match everchanging business needs. The LAM Romania practically supports the country in implementing and delivering the Language Academy architecture and content, responding in a tailored and specific manner to discovered needs. Reports to the Learning&Development Manager Romania in Multilingual region with a dotted line to the Country Director and is part of the wider Learning, Development and Training Operations teams for Eastern Europe within Multilingual region.
SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
- This role requires excellent overall communication skills, both written and verbal. Also, communicating with Senior Manager and Director level asks for effective and efficient communication.
- A high level of both emotional and rational intelligence, additionally an excellent quality of training facilitation and coaching are paramount.
OBJECTIVE
The Language Academy Manager ensures that Foundever identified and selected talents are educated on language and communication skills to offer the best experience to our clients and help these people move towards new roles and responsibilities.
KEY TASKS
- Creation and implementation of new language development concepts to match business needs for specific roles and/or projects
- Facilitation of Language Academy programs on demand for Operations Support functions
- Implementation of existing and new Academy programs in Romania and the region
- Collecting & prioritizing training needs from Operations and SGA
- Developing training calendars
- Supporting Romania Country Director with tailored requirements and needs
- Developing collaboration programs with local education institutions in Romania, in partnership with other Foundever SGA roles
- Coordination and controlling Individual Development Plans for the Academy Trainers – continuous development and regular feedback
- Supporting HEAD OF TALENT DEVELOPMENT EE in strategic activities

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
Experience
- At least 2 years of professional experience leading a team
- At least 3 years experience as trainer
Education
- Completed university studies (entry requirement), ideally in the field of linguistics, education, psychology or any other humanities
- Ideally additional training in the andragogy sector
- Ideally Trainer education
Certificates and licenses
- Trainer Certificate or equivalent
- Bachelor Degree in Humanities (preferable languages)
Languages
- Business English
- Preferable, French/German/Spanish language skills
- C2 level for one of the above-mentioned languages
