JOB SPECIFIC
- Operate blast room equipment that blasts off paint, rust, scale, etc. from steel, aluminum and other materials that will be painted. Follow work order or verbal instructions to complete work. After blasting examine surface to ensure clean and ready for painting.
- Clean and maintain sandblasting equipment
- Wear proper protective gear
DESIRED WORK / SKILLS EXPERIENCE
- Demonstrate high level of eye / hand coordination and manual dexterity.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability.
- Ability to read / write and understand both verbal and written work instructions, work orders or specifications
- Competent in blueprint reading and interpretation is a plus
DESIRED EDUCATION
High school diploma or equivalent or previous experience in Shipyard Industry / Oil Refineries / Chemical plants.
Transport, meals and accommodation is provided by the company.
