Job Description
Responsible for the study of the relationships of the natural world and the relationships between organisms and their environments. Includes monitoring & recording levels of pollutants, compiling reports, and recommending appropriate actions to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Support project teams with their digital data and technical reports.
- Help project teams troubleshoot or guide them through the process of retrieving their data through dashboards.
- Support project teams with tools/platforms (GIS, EQuIS, Power BI and others) for field data collection, data management and reporting.
Competencies:
- Digital/Technical Hybrid – The candidate will need to understand both the tools and the potential field constraints a team may experience. To this end they will have technical skills in both environmental consulting and the digital world.
- Client Focused – the client” is an internal project team, but the attitude is no different. The project teams need a service they can rely on and will return to.
- Communicates Masterfully – builds broad and deep networks, uses a full range of available communication mediums to inspire and engage others, demonstrates empathy, understanding and exceptional active listening skills.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of proven experience in environmental consulting, including field work.
- Experience with GIS, EQuIS and/or Power BI an asset.
- Strong technical writing skills.
- Strong organizational skills and results orientation.
- Excellent communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Coding skills (or the interest and ability to learn).
- Previous experience in data analysis practices including statistical evaluation and spatial interpolation.
