In this role, you will work on Firecracker [1], an open source virtualization technology that is purpose-built for creating and managing secure, multi-tenant container and function-based services that provide serverless operational models. Firecracker is already the deployed globally as part of AWS Lambda [2] and AWS Fargate [3], and is also integrated by 10+ teams beyond AWS as part of their platforms [4]. You will: work to understand our customers' needs and envision, fund, and drive the goals and projects to meet them; hire and grow a team of highly talented and motivated builders; devise and enact mechanisms to ensure engineering and operational excellence; create, own, or support new products and services for AWS serverless customers. You will also be a steward of the Firecracker open source project. This position may involves on-call escalation responsibilities.
